Special Editions
Within the construction period there were 4 special editions of the Opel Ascona A available. The following overview show the characteristics of these special editions:
Ascona A "Holiday"
From May 1972 to August 1973 the special edition "Holiday" was available with the paintworks Citrusgelb (yellow) or Ocker (ochre) in combination with the 16 S-engine. At the same time, the "Holiday-edition" was available
for the Opel Manta A and Opel Kadett B.
The equipment of the Ascona A "Holiday":
electrically heated window, 35-Amp generator, fog lamps and rear fog-lamp, radial ply-tires 165 SR 13, sport rims, wheel covers, neck restraints, 3-point seat belts in front, alternatively automatic transmission gear (surcharge 700 DM)
Ascona A "Plus"
From October 1973 to August 1974 the special edition "Plus" was available with the paintworks Signalgelb (yellow), Signalrot (red), Signalgrün (green) or Signalblau (blue) in combination with the 16 N-engine. At the same time, the "Plus-edition" was available
for the Opel Manta A.
The equipment of the Ascona A "Plus":
sport-rims, radial ply-tires 165 SR 13, 45-Amp generator, neck restraints
Ascona A "Sommer Bazar"
From May 1975 to August 1975 the special edition "Sommer Bazar" was available with the paintworks Signalgelb (yellow), Signalrot (red), Signalgrün (green) or Signalblau (blue) in combination with the 12 S-engine. At the same time, the "Sommer Bazar-edition" was available
for the Opel Manta A.
The equipment of the A "Sommer Bazar":
sport-rims, neck restraints, sport side mirrors (for cars with lateral trim strips )
Ascona A "Swinger"
From February 1975 to July 1975 the special edition "Swinger" was available with the 12 S-engine and either with the paintworks Polarweiß (white) in combination with red lateral sport trim stripes or
with the paintworks Signalgelb (yellow), Signalrot (red), Signalgrün (green) or Signalblau (blue). At the same time, the "Swinger-edition" was available
for the Opel Manta A and Opel Kadett C.
The equipment of the Ascona A "Swinger":
radial ply-tires, electrically heated window, sports steering wheel, strengthened generator, red lateral sport trim stripes and white sport-rims (only with the paintworks Polarweiß (white)),
